There was a documentary on Alpha Boys School & Sister Mary Ignatius Davis called "The Nun Who Nurtured Reggae" on BBC Radio 4 yesterday.

Having finished listening to the show I am now wondering if I should start a thread entitled "who did more for reggae music? Mr Dodd or Sister Ignatius?"

Good question Leggo. The musicians on the show might have most difficulty answering although I think there is always a tendency to look kindly on those people that helped you in the early years of your life.

Yes, but the glaring difference between Sister I and Mr Dodd is her utter selflessness. A true saint.

I was really moved by this show and amazed to hear that she had a deep interest in the music itself. I hadn't realised that before.

I wonder what happened to her record collection? Still part of the school I hope!

I recorded it with the Creative software (that came with the souncard) on my PC while the Realplayer was playing it.

Not sure if that helps.
