After going to the finals so many times and NEVER winning the World Cup, it would be nice to see Holland clinch the title.

They have one of the very best teams on paper but for some reason, they often choke, though.

I remember 1974 when they were super heavy favorites, scored a penalty at the 1st minute against Germany and let this game get away. Gerd Muller crucified them, and Sepp Maier was a hero in the second half. I was crushed. One of my worst childhood memories.

So I hope this time, they will go all the way.

Well as you know we probably will never win it. But for such a small country playing at times a important role in a world sport it is very impressive. Nobody can take that away. 3 times in a final such for such a small country isnt normal. People tend to forgett that.

Nothing is impossible as the Dutch people have demonstrated throughout their rich history.

I drew Holland and Chile in the office sweep so those are my teams and looking good so far!

The Elftaal has one of the best coaches out there! And after destroying Spain like that, at least the semi-finale seems very realistic. At least!

We're having an office sweepstake, £1 a ticket to draw a team out of the hat, I bought two tickets and drew Holland and Chile, if one of them wins the World Cup I get the money (most of it, with a smaller prize for the runner-up).
I think Brazil will win though, even if they were a bit "lucky" in the opening game.

@Jesco: Ahh okay thanks, now I get it. I thought maybe you live in a country that doesn't have a team at the world cup to support - so maybe you decided by draw who to cheer for ;-)

Hi Gabranth

Yes that's true too, my country didn't qualify so I need somebody to support...
