Nice to see you hear Jah Palm, this forum always seems to attract the artists, great to know your with us.
The records people are refering to, most are probably sold a long time ago back in the 80's and they now circulate only as 2nd hand records.
It's the same story for most roots artists in JA, these days u see the records fetching very high prices around the world yet the artist never sees a penny. Plus most of the time record producers cannot find contacts for the more obscure artists and u also get alot of bootleg pressings.
Something should have been done to help protect the copyrights of Jamaican reggae artists along time ago, i think someone did setup some kind of organization in Jamaica to help artists like yourself but i forget what there called now.
The best way for you to gain money from your records now would be to setup a website and sell signed copies of your vinyl and to stick an information page up with contact info.
I wish a sales tax would be brought in to see that a % of any high priced vinyl would go back to the artist, but not sure how such a thing could ever be setup, unless the store selling the records would opt into such a thing, then i think the store would get a good reputation and more people would buy.

I got the Former Man LP, and the title is actually Former Man. Certainly a typo.
At some point it sounds like some Shaka stuff, but it's not really my cup of tea...
I'll probably put it on my trade list.

Jah Palm, are you still out there? I found your All Creatures album on itunes. I can't seem to get it anywhere else. Are you getting paid for the downloads? I hope so.

First thing i thought was it must be farmer man, cos former man, as kalcidis said, entails gender alteration..not a thing reggae is renowned for.
Farmer man references are everywhere in reggae.

If they are selling his music (not second hand but mp3's or such) then contact them through their site.
