Your a moderator, if you have to close a thread because its getting out of hand and possible arguements occuring from it then do so, you cant be worried about what everyones oppinion of you will be for doing it, just do it.
Close this and let us move on.

What is wrong with how the thread is right now? Me and leggo rocker is having a discussion without dissing each other. What is wrong with that?
