Nickfa rightly pointed out a few anomalies which true completists will rightly criticise. I have made up a CDR of the missing bits and bobs and popped into the box

I agree with Rootsman but I what I like is that the Culture and Dennis Brown for Joe Gibbs is now all together in one convenient box and not splashed around various and numerous other releases.

I think Vp/greensleeves up to now is doing pretty well cdwise, regarding Joe gibbs , ie the 5 volumes of discomixes, serial dub, african dub chapter 5 and sly and robbies syncopation included in the evolution of dub boxes.
yes it would be nice to see more compilations of unreleased or only ever available on vinyl, pressure sounds no bones for the dog is a good example of b sides taken from vinyl.
All in all the box sets are great and lets hope more to come.

I'd love to see some of the Mighty Two 80's dancehall material compiled on a cd. Some great unreleased stuff out there..
(I'm new here, by the way. Hi everyone!)

(I'll second that.i think souljazz touched on it in their joe gibbs release, and some of the rocky one spotlight on reggae volumes ,cover the period. But their is a need for a more comprehensive release.covering that later period.

Yeah, the SoulJazz release was good! Too bad they're not going to produce a sequel.
The Rocky One albums are good too, no doubt about that, but the output was so large it's not definitive by far. Cornell Campbell, Johnnie Clarke, Santana and many more are missing..

Re: VP - ..at Joe Gibbs 4CD boxset
is there a reason for the sudden influx of culture/dennis brown/joe gibbs box cds released by "vp" within the past year or so?
i got the dennis brown one, ive only really given visions a proper listen so far, and it is very good. and the african almighty box is obviously good. but i cant help but wonder whether there's something less wholesome to the sudden availability and low prices of these albums?
also, i kind of wish they weren't released as i have no money!!!
