I have always thought that the Congos' "Image of Africa" is vastly under-rated. Everyone always goes on about the lack of quality after the Lee Perry era. I totally disagree.
"Heart of the Congos" is certainly great but if you put "Image" against other LPs of it's time it sounds as good or better than most. Great tracks that still have that other-worldy quality.

Dignitary Stylish- Jah send me come
Lyrical-Market session
Bobby Melody- Live Stock
Courtney Melody- Bad Boy
Ugly man- Ugly Lover
Uglyman Vs. Little John
And tons of others..
Most of this stuff is early Black Scorpio & some Junjo lawes.. I guess It's like Rootsman said" not really underated but more underheard" It's a real shame.......
Respect
Absolutely true word by word...these are my fav albums as well! Especially Dignitary Stylish and Uglyman - top deejays!
,,,,,,,,,,and do remember Jah Screw's "Herb Base Function" LP. Agree, the Harry J / Sunset stuff is killer in the main. I have a nice Frankie Jones LP also but cant recall the name of it right now.
