I am not sure that truth really is quite so variable. Belief certainly is but truth is truth, right is right and wrong is wrong. It's just very hard for us all to wrok out which is which sometimes - we need Jah Guidance!

Best wishes and peace to you Bill -- and to all the readers here on this thread!

Well leggo, youve already said all that i would say on these issues. Christmas, Valentines day, Easter, mothers day..the list of pointless excuses for mass over consumption , and above all to inflate multinational coffers, simply is an abomination.Poverty everywhere, while Western world workers have to work themselves almost to death to earn a comfortable lifestyle.
It really is something that needs changing.

Absolutely. But the thing that needs changing first to make this happen is people's attitudes to life. This mass consumption and greed would not be possible if people rejected this philosophy of "serve me, give me, I want" and replace it with "what can I do for you?"

Selflessness is in very short supply and seems to be getting rarer by the day.

When i think selflessness i think of Buddha, Gandhi, etc..but there are selfless people around, be they ever so hard to find. A tiny minority is selfless. And a further tiny minority wants to be selfless and is misled by various cults or individuals wanting to show them "the true spiritual path"..find it for yourself, to each their own..and peace...

I certainly agree that the world would be a better place peopled with " selfless " attitudes. But when you do selfless things to " selfish " people ,many can`t get their heads around you doing something for them for nothing. Is there a catch ? What do you want in return ?You`re looked at with suspicion because a majority of people really can`t deal with it!I agree with Leggo`s comment that peoples attitudes to life need to change, but can WE change the world ?

naah man 1910 is no good vybes
i talk bout 80s an 90s when ewveryone had a plan and ting. but one bad crisis made the big heads bigger and the small hustler they mash him up , the crisis began around 2000 and is still on. and all because of euro. europe shoulda never join together for the worlds bizniz, europe rite now make amerikkka look ridiculous. no joke.

actually the progress in 80s an 90s was so big they couldnt stop it and that was a mistake. they push it too hard, too fast. not humble at all. if we all did humble all would do well and noone would hunga.

Bill wrote:Eating meat is not the problem. How much we eat and the sources is the problem.Humans survived and advanced because of meat.Is true.
I have nothing against vegetariens,vegans,micro-diets,raw diets. But we should know meat isnt bad for humans unless you eat it excessively wich is true in the west.In turn that brings very questionable sources to the table.Recently cloned meat is what the scientists are doing. One group from the usa has cloned 6 cows from one strip of meat.Thats just wrong,as well as stripping the seas for meat, cutting forests for meat, not to meantion the meat factorys inhumane treatment of cattle...so on so on so on.
Eat meat sensibly no as gluttony and buy from positive minded farmers, companys and we will be allright.

bill is completely correct
it has nothing to do with what we eat but how much we eat
eating moderatly is healthy

im not a misantrope just realistic but clearly its because there are too many people on this planet while production of food is limited
this is the main issue!
