First of all i have to say that this is the most constructive discussion i ever read considering homophobia in reggea (and there are loads out there..)!
Seems like everyone here agrees bout "as long as nobody gets harmed i won't point at anybody whether i like what he/she is doing or not". Respect forum massive!

To the specific topic of the website:
Reggae artists have to accept that outside their community other communities consider it intolerant and wrong to bun homophobia. It's just consistent for those communities to refuse to give intolrant people platforms like stage shows and websites.
What would jamaican people say when say see an artist singing songs bout the superior white race? Nobody would say "but the freedom of speech" - i reckon he'd be bottled to death.
Get my point?
It's your right to say: "i don't like it!"
But don't expect that you get invited to festivals etc. owned by people who don't share your opinion..

When someone commits a crime, there are ones to judge him - victim,witness,police,judge,jury,etc.. Crime is wrongdoing; sin is wrongdoing. Crime and sin is to be the same. Whatever goes against the Most High is wrong. Right and wrong is according to the Most High. When one murders, rapes, or robs someone, people say that's wrong. So why be partial in judgment?

I'm following this discussion for quite a while already and I'm shocked by some of the statements I read.

I think we have to make one thing clear:

You don't choose to be gay! You don't choose homosexuality as your 'lifestyle' as you choose to be a Hippie or a Rockabilly. You are born gay and there's nothing you can do about it. Just like you don't have a choice whether you are born black, white or yellow.

If there is a God who has created the earth including every living creature in it, it's quite likely that this very same God has also created homosexuality. Whether we like it or not. It makes me sick that some religious groups all over the world refer to the bible to justify wrongdoing and discrimination. The bible was written by man, not by God.

The God I believe in would never tolerate discrimination, intolerance and hate against one of his children.

Homosexuality is the modern pestilence. It is stated as a disease in the old medicine. It spreads HIV, Aids, hepatitis and kills innocent lives. Those barebackers do not respect live in any way. It is against nature and any religion. Jah wants his children to be healthy. To live pure and clean. Thy should humble themselves instead of spreading sickness.
I don`t want to see any gay in the reggae or rasta scene.

Actually most HIV infectons throughout Africa and the Western world are through heterosexuals.Gay people did bring it to light in the western hemisphere where it has been stigmatized as a gay disease.That is why many heterosexual people never admit to having it or bother checking for it(mind you that is changing).I have often wondered about some hetero reggae singers that have died with some general syptoms being the cause of death.I wont mention any names who i think has died of AIDS because i dont know and that would be wrong,it is just a suspiscion of mine.So the diseaese continues to spread through peoples ignorance and being ashamed of having a "gay" disease.If we really want to point fingers about this "pestilence" we should be looking at governmants this is an obvious man-made tampered with virus.The lack of real treatment medicine can only be blamed on one source,the people in charge and with all the money.Preventitive medicine is always the best approach a lack of education on the subject does not help in fact one can say that is the greatest means to a curb this devastating disease.Not to mention alot of peoples belief in certain areas of the world is that the use of contraceptives are against gods wishes ,so the imposed fear of god has added an element to this equation that might not ever be able to overcome.

Pointing the finger at a minority like gays for spreading AIDS is rather foolish when you consider the fact that 35% of sub-Saharan Africa is infected with the disease. Are they all gay?

AIDS isn't picky about who it gets but misinformation and rumour-mongering will only help in its spread.
