I know there have got to be Rastafarians on this forum and I am curious to know What Rastas think of Jesus Christ? This is for my own knowledge, and i just want people to know that your opinion, is yours and should always be respected no matter what your beliefs may be.

I read the info from the link on Matthews message,
( http://www.important.ca/rastafari_relig ... rview.html)

great info.

However, with respect, I don't feel it completely answers the Q.

Do Rastas think The Lord Jesus Christ is who he said he is?, Then, Now, and for all Eternity?

When I read the "words" of The Lord Jesus Christ I can plainley overstand who he claims to be, GOD.

I mean this with no disrespect, but when I read the "words" of Tafari Makonnen Haile Selassie I, I don't ever plainley overstand where he claims to be GOD.

Again I am not tring to be contentious, and with respect I would like to be educated in the Rastas doctrine of this Question so I may serve H.I.M. who died for me.

yo he didnt ever say he was god, rastas said he was god as they took his crowning to be the fruition of marcus garveys prophecy. it is my understanding that he was rather reluctant to hold this position.
is that how you spell prophecy?

selassie doesn't claim to be the messiah because he was unaware of it, that is the official stance.

most ras would say it's proper that instead of showing ego his words were with the people of the world.

and remember anything you read about jesus christ could have been twisted by man, alot of people believe a painting of an italian man to be the true image of him although it's quite obvious it's not.

From my foggy memories ,i believe Selassie claimed he was a direct arm of the trinity. Also said he definately wasnt the second coming, and found it perplexing why this tiny island of jamaica revered him so much.
Im not rasta but i have talked to some about this subject ,some of the militant ones claim its the white man word being dog spelt backward.I really dont know just my 1 cent.

I would love to visit these places in the world:

Jamaica
Israel
Saudi Arabia
Ireland

So much spirituality spread across the globe. I wish men could learn to live together with their differences instead of fight over them, but it is not what I want that counts.

Bless you all. Maybe some day, maybe some day.

theres many different thoughts on what Rastafarian philosophy really is...honestly i dont really consider the emperor of ethiopia to be divine but i sill consider myself Rasta and follow the "one love philosophy" i think that is more of what Rastafari really is.

I believe Jesus Christ was put on this earth to teach us a many lesson. I also believe the same of his imperial majesty Haile Selassie I- But to know that Jesus Christ claimed to be God in flesh and Haile Selassie I had OTHERS claim him to be, I think that more speaks for itself.
Everyone has their opinions and Im still finding mine. I highly respect both kings.

Bless.
