World Cup 2014

I hope it's okay for the mods to have a little non-reggae-thread here. If it's too off topic, then please feel free to deleate it. Oh and one rule.... The sport we're talking about here is called football. The s-word is strictly forbidden in this thread 
The world cup starts today and I have a feeling I'm not the only one here who's hyped up. I know we got a lot of guys from England on here, some germans, french, brazilian... All big football countries. And the US Team really seems to get better and better with every world cup.
So if you want to, name your home team or favorite team(s). Share your thoughts. I'll start. Well I'm rooting for germany. Many name us among the favorites for winning the cup, but I don't know. I'm not a big fan of our coach and his tactics. Our players got the potential though. But we got a tough group with Portugal, Ghana, USA. Not as hardcore as the English group with Italy and Uruguay though - that's gonna be a tough one. Actually I always liked the three lions since back in the day with Peter Shilton and Gary Linecker and (rare for a german I know).
I think Spain or Brazil will make it again. It's really hard to tell without having seen the first couple of games. I also cheer for Japan 'cause I just like the country/people and for the african teams, especially Ivory Coast. Didier Drogba and his guys stopped the long lasting civil war in his country when they qualified for the World Cup in 2006!
