Hi bullit.

The website in its original format was set up by Seb during 2004.

I started visiting about April 2005 but never originally posted.

I then started posting as Dave and then set up my "Rootsman" name in 2006.

For me its been a great source of knowledge from day one and has helped me endlessly with my learning.

Met some wonderful people too on the journey.

Dave

First visited in late 2004.

I never used to bother with the forum (believe it or not I am not a forum person).

But finally registered here so I could ask questions about reggae as I was starting to collect LPs again.

Now I wish I hadn't bothered...

Hi Bullit

I too wonder why so many of those early participants are no longer here.

I also wonder if many of them are still around but with different names.

"Sufferers Hi Fi" was a big inspiration to me, he put me onto much goos music in the early days and lead me down many new musical roads.

And Leggo, I am sure you can put all the negative things behind you and get back to enjoying your visits. Things only realy change if you allow them too, and I am sure what is to be gained from your visits far outweigh what you have to lose by not joining in here.

I'd like to do that. But it's all too obvious that my presence here promotes the wrong kind of posts and it has ruined it for many other people too as a result.

That's why it is best if I stay far.

Of course, I'll still use the database - although not as much as I used to I am not buying much vinyl nowadays - and when I do it is almost always 12 inch 45s to play out with.

Leggo, if someone posts as many posts as you, theres bound to be more arguements as someone with say only 500 posts.
Its not a bad thing to post lots and talk, in fact its very good, but the chance of an arguement/disagreement happening is raised
