Just to help you, I found it on that album,

It seems to be very rare. these are only the dub versions. And it's not the George Faith Guide Line

I have no idea who it is.
That's one of those maddening compilations of dub that's really good, but some of the tunes may or may NOT be LSP's work. Semi-legitimite.
IIRC, most of the tracks are from either Enter the Dragon, Musical Bones or that French compilation called Black Ark In Dub (?) but some of them sound like A Pablo...?????

So not even a Perry production? Do you know the name of the vocal track and artist?

Bootleg, but still of interest if you know what I mean, there seems to be half a dozen albums with this track for sale on Amazon etc

I personally think the bare riddim was done by Perry and the vocals and final mixing by someone else later on in the early 80s (probably because Perry's ex wife had some tapes with unfinished material and studio out takes) To eventually ending up on this LP set (and later on some other sets as well )and exculsive acetates here and there.

I have to defend this LP Black Ark in Dub. What did the LP no good was:

- Pauline Morrisons name on it
- Later a French Rerelease by a dubious label

Concerning these two things one thing is sure Perry made no money on it.

But that is as far dubious as it goes for me. For eg did Pauline ever put out a new remixes of Perries work? No not. Always it were the legit recording obtained at a doubious manner. But the Lee Perry music she put out was always pure black ark and not remixed by somebody else.

Why would she do that, she was smarter she knew that original work pays more. And she was in it for the money (I guess). So a remix was out of question.

Second use your ears. The Mike Brooks and Earl Sixteen 'Black Ark' LP's you immediately hear that the voice is remixed in. With 'Guidance' e.g. not.

When it came out also the wierd sounds werent supposed to be Perry and were mixed in by others. Nowadays more and more collectors say that it is pure Black Ark and I am with them. I feel that opinions concerning this LP as not pure black ark was created by Perry collectors who thought at the time they had heard everything and disliked Pauline. Not saying that dubbing with the duke is one of them. Maybe this view gives a different angle on the matter. Most important message is use your ears.
