Thanks to the moderator for allowing me to post this up.

My name is Paula and I'm working with Island Records to promote their amazing 50th Birthday celebration concert at Shephards Bush this month.

On Tuesday 26th May at Shepherds Bush Empire, as part of a week of celebration concerts, Island Records is hosting a line-up of acts signed to the label. The billing includes the amazing Grace Jones, the UK’s current number one artist, Tinchy Stryder, a reunited Aswad, VV Brown, the i-Threes, Sly & Robbie and The Compass Point All Stars.

Each of these will perform songs from Island’s illustrious back catalogue with one of the most famous Jamaican rhythm sections of all time. This is an incredible chance to see these acts perform together so don’t miss out! It's also the only date with tickets still available so book quickly!

waaw!thank you so much for posting this paula island.even though i live ten miles away from the uk,ican but rejoice for such kind of events that can take you on a trip down memory lane.a reunited island.it could have been really extented to other legendary 70 groups and make it a whole week end of celebration.don't you think so ?anyway i can but hope it will see it's way to cd and dvd hopefully.

Which Aswad line is the reunited one? Brinsley and George too? Any info?

should be niice inyaki to see brinsley khaki and georges fully fullwood on stage again

it would be george oban rather than george 'fully' fullwood in that aswad line-up, if it'll happen

oh iam sorry for having mistakenly written fullwood instead of oban.indeed many thanks for corecting me ites.
it would be nice to have somebody who attended the concerts give us some tips or accept to review the performances

yes lets hear how it went. saw a pic of grace jones the other day...wow what a mess. always was but now even more bizarre if that photo was any indication. still i liked her sly and robbie stuff so would love to hear how it went. would love even more a link to a recording.
