VP Records has launched the 17 North Parade imprint

VP Records has launched the 17 North Parade imprint on September 10th. This new imprint will release vintage reggae reissues, deals have already been signed with Joe Gibbs, Penthouse Records, Powerhouse, Music Works and King Jammy's. 17NP will release reissues under 3 different series : Reggae Rewind (original albums), Selector's Choice (deejay collector's item) and Reggae Anthology (compilations from the VP catalogue).

Makasound website in english

The french label Makasound website has been translated into english. This update also includes their other imprints Inna de Yard, Black Eye and Makafresh as well as their online shop.
Makasound's next reissue will be Black Roots - In Session on October 15th. This will include the original album augmented with 4 bonus tracks :

September / October Trojan releases postponed

Trojan Records has delayed all its upcoming releases following the Universal/Sanctuary deal. Universal bought Sanctuary Records (the Trojan Records owner) for 45 Million pounds in June. During its restructuring a lot of the former Trojan collaborators have left the company, but the latest informations we have had lead us to believe Trojan should soon release new albums and keep their reissue program alive.
