Hello everyone. I wonder if you could please help with the following ?
I have been searching for two reggae songs for years:-
The first is from the mid 80s:

and the second from the late 70s or early 80s:

These have been bugging me for many years and I'd love to hear them again so your help will be greatly appreciated.
Please can you help identify these 70s/80s reggae songs ?

The 2nd one sounds a little bit like no jestering by Carl malcolm
But I'm probably way off there as I have zero musical ear

Well both songs sound like they're from the same producer/studio/mixer. I'd also say same year and maybe even same album. This flute/melodica is in both tracks and the keyboard and the percussions are quite similar aren't they?
2nd Track: I've heard that riddim before I think. Maybe someone here can identify the riddim at least.

Sorry about the confusion - what you hear is just me finally getting round to playing the tunes on my keyboard - good old single finger Casio chords over a couple of preset reggae rhythms! The real tracks are very unlikely to be related in any way.
We have Pad Anthony but the second one may have been a group - I remember it was sung with harmonies.
Carl Malcolm sounds close - especially the intro, but it's a few years early and I'm 99% sure the chorus of the song required has "tenement yard" in there. This has made it difficult - I've come across more than a dozen songs with that title.
Thank you everyone, for your help.
