I DJed vintage roots music in a cafe bar for a few years, and was interested in the DJ scene until I realised I didn't want to use silly sound effects or loops or scratching to transition between songs. I quickly got sick of using the intro drum roll to move between reggae tracks, so for the last couple of months I've been working on making 'discomixes', blending versions of riddims together as best I can.
