I have the Cornfed CD of this album which comes with some pretty good bonus tracks. Anyway, it also comes with some information notes on the back which say

"Original 1980 album plus several bonus tracks from the same recording sessions. Lee Scratch Perrys ex wife Pauline Morrison didn`t show much class when stealing what tapes she could get her hands on after she split with Scratch. This album is just a cash in by an angry woman and though Perry may not have had much to do with the release it has stood the test of time among devoted followers of The Black Ark Sound. So try and forget the ugly way it came to be just listen to the incredible dense recording style of the master. Album produced by Pauline Morrison 1980 arranged by D. Bryan. Backing tracks and sessions 1974-1977. Recorded at Black Ark Recording Studio, Kingston Jamaica. Backing musicians not credited on any of the releases"

Hope this helps clear the confusion.

OK, but doesn't it contain a dub of Lacksley Castell- Jah Love is Sweeter, which is on the same rhythm as Black Uhuru - Tonight is the Night, which is a Prince Jammy production?
I've always been confused by that.

But to give my 50 cents, Lacksley Castell - Jah Love is Sweeter take on Black ark in Dub and Stand & Look (The Fantails)are Black Ark connected e.g. mixed there. Both a Jammy/Perry thing. Some (jammy) say Stand & Look was a deliberate immitation of the black ark sound but I donnot buy that. See previous discussions on the latter subject.

Why would she do that, she was smarter she knew that original work pays more. And she was in it for the money (I guess). So a remix was out of question.
because you can't sell an unfinished recording... so someone has to finish it..Well nowadays you probably can sell it, but there was a very picky audience in the 1980s...

@dubbing with the duke

What I'm confused about is how that Jammy produced rhythm is connected to Black Ark.

Nah doubt it, there is no evidence she ever released remixed Lee Perry/Black Ark songs. I stand with the Cornfed guys.
