i want tips for old roots bands
Hey, i have already a big roots collection (1970/1985) and have a lot of crucial ones but i dont know well the very old roots band as paragons/gaylads/morwells/kingstonians etc etc... I hear sometimes crazy ones and i love this period when the songs feel with me, can anyone advices me good ones? (i prefere really when the roots is hard/melancholic/mystic that happy/peace/love) thx

In case you like the Kingstonians, check out Keith & Tex as well. At the time they were both produced by Derrick Harriot. My favourite Keith & Tax album "Stop that train" was released on the Crystal lable.
Also check out Carlton & the Shoes!!!! Album released on Studio 1 "Love me forever". In fact most members of this harmony group continued at a later stage as the Abyssinians. So a nice roots sound is garantueed.
