maybe he means that it's regretfull that you'd murder someone who wanted to steal your wax" I love my collection too, but it isn't more valuable than someones life-even a crackhead.

Of course human life is worth more than wax.

But I'd argue that a crackhead has an obvious death wish so perhaps they've already forfeited the value of their own life.

And as crackheads and other burgulars are now regularly armed and using knives and even guns, I would have to assume that the lives of myself and my family were under serious threat.

So I would then feel use of deadly force against an intruder to be morally acceptable.

If King Tubby had shot the intruder that took his life in an effort to defend his own property (and ultimately his own life) would you also have disapproved?

I just wrote something stupid and I regretted...you can edit posts but not delete them.
This is not the place to discuss this thing about guns but I dont like them. If you have to use it sometime I hope that you aim for legs and not for head. Not even someone that comes to rob you deserves to be killed.

the value of a crackheads life aside...
If you are really serious about defending your property and or family, there are more effective security systems than a lethal weapon. Statistically you or a family memeber are more likely to get shot by it than an intruder..
Obviously, i would prefer if tubby had survived the attack, even if that meant killing in self defense.. If you lived in waterhouse i might have a different attitude about your desire to own a gun. I don't want to get into a feud here, i just hate guns. Now back to the music...

OK. I had time over the holiday to do a proper count up so...

This is my present REGGAE record stock:

7 inch = 62
10 inch = 8
12 inch = 262
Lps = 572

Total = 904

Less than 3 years ago I had NO reggae vinyl at all.

Of the LP total around 95% are originals, and about 40 are old skool Ska or rocksteady. The rest is mainly stuff you'll find here.

I have about 70 digital era 12s and a handfull of digital LPs.

41 Lps and 12 x 12 inchers are in the For Sale box (send me a request by PM if you want a list)

I also have about 200 reggae Cds and a few MP3 downloads or copies. I almost never play the CDs, usually in the car which I only use about once a week!

If someone did try to steal this lot I probably wouldn't have to shoot them as they'd likely give themselves a hernia getting it all out of here!

Well- I'm not aloud to count in terms of numbers...makes my wife sick. I have over 30,000 songs (digitized them all) and about 4000 are reggae, mostly early (pre 1974. She once figured it out in terms of money and then told me how much sooner our mortgage would be payed off if I stopped- but, Me Naw Give Up
