Re: I Kong
hehe, by chance i have keep some songs of "africa calling"...
well, the sound of the albums are differents, right, but tell it dub for africa calling looks kiddies about some little details, the sound is more deep but not so dubbed for me...
And a song called "whoe whoe" are in the africa calling version and not in the way is it, the albums are not exactly sames, sry (and maybe i forget something)

Fab, it was more a question of overdubbing on the drum parts, that the original drums had been replaced by 80s syndrums, typical of its time, while the original vocal was still there. I only have Africa Calling and only heard a few cuts off the first record, The Way It Is, a few months ago. So I can't compare them at this moment, that's partly why I asked. That is an album that most of us would be glad if they rereleased one of these days, I mean The Way It Is

Re: I Kong
ok about drums, i was confused... The way is it is better for me, the sound is "pure", in Africa calling the sound is more right, more diriged if you see what i mean, i have the way is it in mp3*, and if i understand well you collect in original formats... but if you want i can send you

If you're looking for good quality of "The way it is" try to get the cd-release from 1992 on french Lagoon label. They retitled the album in "Ghetto Cry".
rougher yet

Lagoon/Esoldun/Crocodisc/Jet Set is all one and the same - a pirate. But I'll look around, thanks for the tip, Belly.
