Re: PETER TOSH : looking for .....
Just like you brethern I am a huge Peter Tosh Fan and I wish you luck in finding that one love peace concert video b/c it does not exist. There is little bits of it from a homemade video that appears in the red x tapes but other than that there is none. I have to fault peter in this b/c he demanded the video tapes and light be shut down b/c it was bothering his eyes. Thus we were robbed of one of the greatest if not the greatest live show of all time. People talking about how it was great that bob joined the oppositons on stage to show unity but in reality this did not do anything in fact the situation got worse after this concert. But the prophet peter mentioned this when he was lecturing the crowd in this concert. I really think if the video existed people would be talking about the courage and commitment of this great man to the cause of rasta and poor people as a whole, b/c you cant talk the way he talked to the prime minister and politicians in the thrid world and live to talk about it. Long live peter your sound is hard like a rock.
Give thanks.
Give thanks.

Re: PETER TOSH : looking for .....
"Peace is the diploma you get when you go to the cemetery !On your grave they write : Rest In Peace. We don't want no peace, we want justice."
Peter's speech that evening is dreadful but revolves a lot around herb. He got beaten by the police a few months later because of his sayings. He, later on, recorded a tune on an album saying : "Remember that peace treaty they once signed in Kill-some City (Kingston City) ?"
But you can not sweep away what Bob did with Seaga & Manley that evening (llok at the faces of the politicians on the video, man, how they look evil during this meeting ! As Bob said : Iman no politician. If I were, only thing I should have done this evening : kill them both.). As a matter of fact this picture (Adrian Boot) is part of jamaican history. Not Tosh's speech.

Re: PETER TOSH : looking for .....
Exactly my point brethren. No one wanted to deal with the truth cause the truth causes offense. And all the things peter spoke about that night were the truth. Tell me what happened to the poor jamican people b/c of the shaking hands between seaga and manley. That was just a political gimmick which did not do anything for the poor. It even got worse with all the killing and looting that happened. Nothing happened to the politicians but a lot happened to the sufferers and that was what peter was pointing out that night and he got beaten for it. The great rasta elder Mortimer Planner summoned it up when he said "Peter was brilliant in getting out the standard the double standard". No hate on bob because bob was also brilliant that night but peter spoke the truth and he paid dearly for it. It was not only about the herb that he talked about it was mostly about the sufferings of the poor and justice for the poor.

Re: PETER TOSH : looking for .....
Seems a bit hard to get hold of the Live at The One Love Peace Concert Cd on JAD now when Pressure Sounds has their own version of this release - not even cheapish at Amazon, hmmm...
