We are all one people.

We don't come from this country or that country - we come from God.

Africa, India, America, Europe, even Petrograd or Paris - all man made names for the One Earth.

The habit we have of identifying ourselves with one place (and one skin colour) is one of the causes of war and strife.

When we identify ourselves with one place, then another person is easily seen as not being 'one of us'. It's then a small step for them to be seen dispassionately as the 'enemy' and not as fellow humans with this type of mentality.

I've listened to many many reggae records where the artist sing and chant about 'Africa'. He doesn't often tend to sing about Guinea Bissau, or Malawi.

So if Sean 'generalises' and calls the country Africa then I don't see any error. Unless all these JA musicians have committed the same error?

After all, isn't the idea that all AFRICANS UNITE as one country?

I made my point. My opinion, That's what a forum is for.

What a forum isn't for is taking personal slants at people.

Sort your self out Mr Dread you are out of order.

I see rascism every day here in Lincoln, UK - mostly between white people (English versus Eastern Europeans) - so I really don't need to be told to 'get real' by you. I am not a fool.

rascism only exists because we identify with our bodies, not our souls. And you my friend appear to be making just that mistake.

Maybe you are black, and maybe I am white. But in next life maybe it's the other way around. Or maybe I am a squirrel and you are a fox. Our bodies change. Our souls are constant and it's them we need to take care of and identify with, not this outer carcass.

If you don't believe that we are all brothers and should unite - then what on earth are you doing listening to reggae music, which is one of the most conscious types of music in the world.

firstly

leggo rocker,if that your name PLEASE just calm down and dont get angry, its a forum

secondly i think your views are absolute rubbish

i dont just listen to "reggae music" which is another generalistaion.

i listen to blues, hip hop, soul, r&b - may types. so dont try to patronise.

"reggae music" is composed up of many sub-genres many of whioch i see you dismiss, so you abvoisly dont know anyting about reggae. its start point or where its at now. just roots reggae. anyway im not here to talk about your musical taste cause i dont really care.

but you are a rather silly person. ok. you listen to a little bit of reggae music and you want to start taliking to me about we're brothers and we should unite.get real, as i told you before.

where u from again Lincoln, UK (never heard of it) i grew up in JA in the kingston ghetto, there it where dutty tuff and life ruff. you know NOTHING.in the uk where your county have countries like jamacia and nigeria, malawi, zamibia and zimbabwi under control. looking up to your county like its great. its not. you are the babylon. your counrty form part of the slave trade and now with aid and silly concert raising ideas wnat forgiveness - jah jah will jugde that, not i.

you dont know me, so id appricenate if u dont patronise or gwan lik eu do. ohh and listening to reggae doesnt make you some sort of rightous person to jugde and preach about unite and brothers.come of your props and pride.and learn how to respect peoples point of view
