Lyrics to Freddie Mac's "Go Away Pretty Woman"

Hi guys! I was just wondering whether you could help me out to the second line of the lyrics to Freddie MacGregor's song "Go Away Pretty Woman" (Album: All In The Same Boat). See, I've been trying to discern the words but I'm just having trouble with it. I was hoping any other Freddie MacGregor fans out there who may be more familiar with the song may be able to help me out.

See, the first line of the song goes:

"For twelve long years, you've been in my house

and then the second line goes:

"You don't even know I was ????? and ?????

I'm not sure if he's saying "single" and "gasping", which doesn't make a lot of sense, so I was hoping someone here who's more familiar with the song lyrics might be able to help me out.

Make no mistake, I love Freddie MacGregor and his songs (particularly this one), ...I'm trying to put together a complete compilation his song lyrics, so any help you guys can lend me is greatly appreciated.

I tried to help you, but there's no song called ''Go Away Pretty Woman'' in ''All In The Same Boat'' l.p.

Hmm... I just checked and there is an "ALL in the Same Boat" LP, but there's also an "ALL in the Same Boat" Album. I checked the the one they have listed here in roots archive and discovered that the LP only has 10 songs compared to the album which has 14 songs (wherein "Go Away Pretty Woman" is one of them.). I'm not sure which was released first, whether the LP or the album, since the LP listing they have here in the archive states that the LP was released 1986, wherein I got a lot of conflicting info with regards to the album's actual release year, with some sites stating it as 1984, others 1985 and one saying 1987. Here's the list of the 14 songs in the "All In The Same Boat" ALBUM:

...I also got to thinking that maybe it's the LP that most people have since I've gotten a lot of similar comments from other listeners telling me that they couldn't find that song in their "All In The Same Boat" copy. Quite a shame really since the song is just timeless and lovely, probably one of Freddie McGregor's best 'Lover's Rock' songs, well, at least in my opinion.
