danny dread the selector question

and i always thought that danny dread the dj was always danny dread the selector, the same person. until i seen this footage on youtube, and seen that it wasn't danny dread the selector, was some totally different person.
now my other question, is danny dread I on on the hit me with music LP, http://www.roots-archives.com/release/4212, now is that dany dread the selector or is is that simply that DJ danny dread again.
i know danny dread the Dj has done alot of music since the 80's for sure one of my favorites, like woman a ginal on black roots disco, as well as that other nice tune call, "run come".
hope someone has the answers. bythe way if you listen to the hit me with music LP, i think they sound somewhat similar, if not the same person. can't tell on the coaver, coz his face is covered.
and if danny dread the selector has done some music, what material has he done and was it as a DJ or singer?

To me I always thought the LP was by the Deejay, coz that man can sing too. Some of the sound tapes from the 80's by the Deejay he has sang, while as for the selector, i know of the man as being the greatest selector in the world with no vocal credentials anywhere.

However there was an arguement in another forum claiming there are three Danny Dread's, so u can never rule out the possibility of the LP being the 3rd guy.

this goes out to the one adambom, check it yout'. the danny dreads i'm talkin' bout are both jamaican artists. one is a selector and one is a dj. two different people. the one i mentioned on youtube, is not just anybody random i chose. this footage was taken on a set in waltham park, alongside with philip frazer. i did mention the danny dread songs that he dj. and it is narrowed down to 2 people. one a selector, a very well known and very established one at that (danny dread the selector). then the DJ danny dread. as i stated on my entry to this topic, i was wondering if danny dread the selector has done any singing or deejaying other than being a selector. i also stated some memorable hits by the DJ like "woman a ginal" and "run come" and another tune he did as little danny dread. and it is narrowed down to 2 artists. i also wanted to know if danny dread on the LP hit me with music is indeed danny dread the DJ. just from listening to it , i think it is. as i also stated, i thought at one time this was one person, and it being danny dread the selector, i thought there was only one danny dread artist in jamaica. so it is narrowed down by even the region. so adambom, so for you saying it can be any guy in the world on you tube, that's not fully true, since it was videoed in Jamaica back in 86 in waltham park. and that particular danny dread on you tube i know who that is, it is in fact the DJ, the one i mentioned doing "woman a ginal". adambom, i don't know if you know who the 2 danny dreads i'm referring to, but it sounds kinda like you don't, but i do know what i'm talkin about. so don't think that it hasn't been narrowed down, coz it has.

DJ Danny Dread followed Brigadier Jerry's style and came form the same district. He spent some time with us on our sound, Eversonic. There's a brief mention of him here:

I knew of Selector Danny Dread form Blackstar.

The two are definitely different individuals.

2 selecors:

the famous selector Danny Dread played King Attorny/Socialist Roots,Jammys, Black Majesty, Volcano, Sturmars, Addies, and is currently off and on selecting on Sturgav

Blackstar's Danny Dread is a different person, he changed his name into Smokey Joe to avoid a mix up with dj Danny Dread ( the second one i mention) when he came and to dj on Black Star

and 2 Deejays:

'Referend' Danny Dread (named after his big hit 'Bible Connection)who deejayed on El Paso, Metro Media, Youthman Promotion, Caveman. he did the 'Hit Me with Music 'album.

from country:
Danny Dread who deejayed on Jah Love, Jaro & later on nBlack Star, causing their selector to change his name.(he did 'Lemon popsicle' on Jwanza a.o.)
