'Teenage Ska' Baba Brooks
For Rocksteady signature tune is 'You don't need me' - The Melodians

Yeah MightyZ, Teenage Ska is great... love it too... skank a lot!
The probably *rarest* and by coincidence *tuffest* tune of my whole collection is a good competitor to be a "signature", I doubt to cross it another place...
*Spiritual Movement - Serious Time*
Simply murderation...

this is difficult. i'm too indecisive for this.
if i was going for an instrumental, i would say either:
tommy mccook - the bionic horn, OR
rico - free ganja
if i was going for a vocal, i would say either:
sugar minott - hard time pressure, OR
the meditations - life is not easy, OR
johnny osbourne - words of the ghetto
and, if i was going for a dub, i would say either:
tappa zukie - rub a dub a weh them want, OR
keith hudson - michael talbot affair

I like to play this one as a starter
hip hug SLIM SMITH (10 inch music lab) cos it turns anyone into the right mood...
strong rocksteady riddim, beautiful voice, lyrics...
come on and dance with me
come on and hip hug with me
come on and (dance and) be free
come on and rock steady
then the dub so you can talk to the audience...
and put some killer after this slow tempo intro...
