As far as I know the Heptones 'Through the Fire I Come' 12" on Observer is quite expensive..

Well, the price that you can realise for records in some auctions (especially ebay) does not essentially give a hint on the scarceness of the record itself.
There are collectors from all over the world who will take a bid of 1.000 $ (US) for a 7" or 12" they need to complete their collection. Crazy , ain't it/they ?
And then again you might have a rare dub album in original shape to be sold by nearly 50 $ ....Just because right at the moment nobody else will be interested.
Off course there are some 'standards' that everybody is trying to hunt down, depending on what part of the world you are coming from and where the rare gems had been available earlier on.
