I saw your post about wanting to get ready for the show. I think the original Gladiators are no more. My understanding is that Albert Griffiths sons have now taken the Gladiators name. Do you know whether or not it will be the band with Mr. Griffiths?
Also, the Gladiators are my favorite band and I would recommend any of their albums. My favorites are Proverbial Reggae, Naturality, and Symbol of Reality. However, even later works have great songs. For example, check:
Country Living from Country Living
Consciousness from Valley of Decision
Man of Stone from the Cash
Trouble from Something a Gwaan
Not in My Life Before from Strong to Survive
The list could go on. The Gladiators performed at such a high level throughout their career that they have managed to have classic tracks from 4 decades. The original tunes with Clinton Fearon are the most classic but all their stuff is worth checking.

Don't miss the wonderful 12 inch Disco
"Evil Doers" c/w "Pocket Money"
Released on TR but also available on Virgin.
This is a very special 12 inch 45. The TR version has a slightly different mix, there's a snippet of toasting by Ranking Joe that isn't on the Virgin copy.

don't overlook the lee perry produced "time" 45. Wicked!
Proverbial reggae, Trenchtown mix up and the studio one stuff is all pretty much essential roots.

The whole album Serious Thing is terrific, the best track on it and one of my all time favorite cuts is "My Thoughts"

The Gladiators early recordings are some of the best reggae ever made.

The 'Back to the roots' album is really good, with the awesome track 'Rich Man poor Man' There is also a nice version of 'Small Axe' in the Nighthawk CD/LP 'Calling Rastafari' which includes 'Jah Glory' by the Itals (one of my favourite songs ever)
