I'd really like to get these three on vinyl.
The first is a wackies 12, the second, I don't know. The third is a 12 on a blank label, maybe also on another pressing. I don't know.
Can anyone help me here?
It's all Gunosantos' fault for playing them on his radio station. I love that riddim SO much.
There's also a great Sugar Minott cut of it on a Sugar LP: "Have you ever had another love like me?" If that is available on 12 inch I would really appreciate the info, or even better, the actual record!

Thanks Jah Titus, that'll be the one! Shame it isn't on vinyl or 7 inch, I wanted to string a version stylee together for gigs.
Matthew, thanks again, I'll look out for the Don Carlos cut. I wonder if it is part of their re-issue program?

You can easily find a wackie's perfect repress of the Max Romeo & Jah Batta songs :
http://www.basicchannel.com/item/W-003
First side features killer vocal (M.Romeo), DJ (Jah Batta) & Dub. Second side is a meditative roots song by Jezzreel.

Thanks Pluie. I had seen that. That is the exact record I want but I wish they had a 'proper' online shop there! The ordering system is a bit clanky!
Any UK sellers stocking this one I wonder?
The original press would be nice though!

It seems to be out of stock in many online shops. Check eBay, you will find a few copies on sale.
About the original : Wackies represses are really excellent (german production if i'm not mistaking, but i could). No worry with bad sound or awful sleeve.

I've searched for that Jah Batta / Max Romeo disk. No luck anywhere.
Yes, I have lots of Wackies 12s and LPs (and CDs!) on repress, they are one of the VERY few represses I'll deal with.
Thanks for your help everyone!

As far as I know tricky girl has originally never been released as a wackies 12" ( there's a cut/videoclip on the wackies dvd btw )
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJcFrvbL7YQ
It was released on an obscure label based in the Bronx (New York ) called 'Sun Force records' maybe it was also released on 'hitbound' but I'm not sure.

Hi leggo!
I have the wackies 12" repress and it's indeed a beautiful heavy & clean press... and pure KILLER!!! Bought mine from Ernie B's last year, I think...
The Don Carlos apparently has a repress pon UPTEMPO label... found this two links from UK stores, but seems to be out of stock... I'm gonna start searching for it too!
I've once seen the original press on ebay, and it went for crazy money... it was on a blank 12" or 10"... I don't remember well... so maybe this UPTEMPO repress is very welcome!...
The congos, unfortunately, you won't find on vinyl... as I'm quite sure the album "Cock Mouth Kill Cock" from 2006 has only been released on CD.
Don't have any info pon the sugar minott cut... guess it was only released on the album Sufferer's Choice.
I also love this riddim and been looking for the originals for a long time... sorry for adding more records to your "wanted list" ...
Blessings,
