Yes , I have a copy on CD . Details are :-

Black Solidarity

AQCD 001 Published by Uranus Music Ltd.

Distributed in the U.K. By Ossie Thomas 0958 492 789 .

I have the re-press LP . Vinyl press not too brilliant , pops and crackles etc. CD quality is bass-heavy , no bad thing there !

yeah, i got my CD revive from about 10 years ago and the mastering is really bad, it sounds muffled as someone mentions above. so it's not that dynamic a listen, a real shame because it is a real nice "chill" dub album. very "musical".

The vinyl has been repressed twice at least. There is a very good english pressing from around 1996, but I know of a later repress from JA that has some 'obvious' flaws.

Supposed to be the first ever Dub LP out of Jamaica. For me it is a dull and boring LP

Aquarius Dub isn't likely to be the LP you would play for someone to demonstrate "dub" to, but it has it's place. Any record with the bare bones cut of "Cassava Piece" can't be all bad, can it?

The first dub LP claim is often debated, but the real origination and furtherance of recorded dub came via 45s, not LPs. Many say Java Java dub preceded it, but it's a pretty useless argument because it's about format invention, not musical invention, which is infinitely more interesting.

I have an original press of the LP with a blank label, and even on that copy the highs aren't very "bright".

Leggo

I paid $6- for it back in 1978. But that was at a time in my life where $6- was a considerable amount of money, as I was pretty broke.

No doubt that there are other cheap finds out there today....just pay a few dollars, and then sit back and do nothing for 30 years! I have never actually bought a record as an "investment". Who would have known that these shiney black round things would change hands for so much money?

i had the cd and it was pretty poor sound quality.
it should be remastered and re-released ! Pressure sounds ?

the same applies to Prince Busters "The message dubwise", also a very fine lp which should be re-released on cd.
