at least Pressure sounds is still in the game ..........
my collection nowadays consists of 2/3 CDRs, 1/3 official CD releases (most from the "Big 3" Trojan, Blood&Fire, Pressure sounds, than still some Makasound and other small labels).
It would be sad if all goes MP3. No nice covers, no liner notes, no good sound quality. That shall be the future ? Please not .....

Re: aquarius dub
i have tried to copy it onto my hard drive using one of those turntable mp3 things but the sound quality was so poor i gave up after a couple of tunes... then i had to give the deck back to the mate i'd borrowed it off.

Re: aquarius dub
Surfing through the old threads I'm absolutely surprised to read about the bad sound quality of Aquarius Dub.Dave Kingston wrote:I have an original press of the LP with a blank label, and even on that copy the highs aren't very "bright".
Never heard a repress or CD but my original pressing got crisp and dry bass and sounds almost superb all over. Hard like a bone.
No pops or crackles either.
Also never heard a blank label pre-release. But my stock yellow label pressing got bright highs, too.
For me Aquarius Dub is not only one of the best sounding Dub records from that era but an all time Dub fave as well.

But I'm still surprised you all seem to know bad issues only.
Nobody out there with another original yellow label issue, who can boost my statement?

Re: aquarius dub
the re on Black Solidarity is in my opinion unplayable when you compare it to the original Aquarius lp which is a full clear dynamic press
