Do you mean cassettes that were once commercially available? Or sound system cassettes? Or home made compilations?
I have maybe 500 self made compilations on cassette. Still my favourite medium...

must admit Im with you on that one, enjoy playing cassette's on a hi-quality cassette deck. Viewing the tape circulate, the 'warm' sound, is something Id recommend for any firm supporter of music. I have some original cassette's from '78, '79 '80 ect..

As for purchasing online: Amazon has a wide catalogue from my last experience (whether rare, or original Im unsure), Iv seen a few on ebay but nothing that special. Type in reggae cassettes and their should be several directions.

Im sure you have yourself a hi-quality cassette deck, if not (get one), get yourself a CD Audio Recorder, correct compact disc. Transferring of the audio to pc in a 'lossless' format is highly recommended. You can then have the audio in both formats, especially with cassette decks today, very sketchy, stretching or tearing is a sad case.

Liquidation shops used to have VP cassettes from the 80s and later. So check VP if they still have any or where they sent them on to.

Let us know if any still available!

thanks for all your suggestions. I don't mean soundsystem tapes, i mean the old ones from sonic sounds, dynamic, greensleeves, music works. I know that many many great lps have been printed on tape in JA. I try to get all the old reggae tapes i can in addition to vinyl and foundation soundsystem tapes. the JA tapes were sometimes cleaner than the vinyl pressings(with the exception of hiss.there were also a ton of double lp on 1 tape deals outta music works. Although tapes are virtually non existent as an audio medium now, mine have lasted at least 20 years. the bass is round and the natural compression from the tape makes for solid listening. respect to all foundation cassette man in the area
