Here is an interesting article about the potency of different types of marijuana:

It seems to be fairly unbiased.

No way Jah Glu, if I'd drunk as much Alcohol as I'd smoked herb since I was 15 (I'm 44 now!), my liver would have exploded by now!

That depends on how much herb, and alcohol you are comparing. You cant do that...

one sentence in the Holly BIble mentions that peasants should get merry, and that is is good. This idea has been transmitted in the Ethiopian Tewahedo Church and creates some questions among believers in Ethiopia. Unfortunatly I can't remember from which book and paragraph this was taken. As always all the answers might be in the bible, but you can understand it in such different ways... Wine has a double signification in the bible. It is holly and sanctified, and it is corrupted and evilous.
But to come back to the ethiopian tradition (which should be done any time we talk about rastas who most of the time consider themselves as orthodox, just like HIM) during the ceremonies, the wine only has a symbolic/spiritual signification, and the holly drink given to the belivers is not physically wine but water. They believe the sanctification made through the priest by Christ make the water become wine, or His blood.
Indeed Rastas uselly consider ther negatrive side of alcohol and donnot drink it. they have not integrated in their practices the use of wine.

Other interesting fact you might like to know : in Ethiopia, some monasteries and many hermits use herb in a spiritual way, but this is not official and you will never learn it from the mouth of an orthodox priest.
They eat it most of the time.
The priests/monks do not drink wine but they use talla, a local alcohol they make in a sanctified place. It tastes a little like beer and is quite bitter. But sorry, i'm going a little out of the subject, rastas even if they are searching for a coherence and a spiritual root in Tewahedo church, are not ethiopian orthodoxs and their practices are different.
Bless

Right Benjamin! Through de years paganism hav been meking use of "wine" (conceptually an physically) to replace de "metaphoric water" or de "symbolic liquid" but above all I&I know it´s de Pure an Clean GRAPE JUICE (some call it Must?), employs by Jesus ina Melchizedek tradition
"And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and grape juice: and he was the priest of the most high God"
Genesis 14;18

Why can't I do that? I know how much alcohol it would need to get me stoned every to a similar extent as I do on cannabis.
I have 27 years of experience in comparing my consumption levels to those around me - I smoke more than all of them, and I have known many, many smokers. If I got as drunk on a daily basis as I get stoned I would be considered an alcoholic and at serious health risk. To be honest I don't think very many people would survive too well for 27 years at that level of alcohol usage.

I dont think so either but still as you know alot of smokers, you surely also know what happens if you smoke on a more than regular basis.

I'm getting really worried about the health of all those rastas living in the hills smoking big pipes of weed every day. They must all die young, no?
And @ MightyZ, I think you *do* know someone who can match you smoke for smoke all night long!
