alcohol is babylon's poison. they would rather you drink alcohol that completly intoxicates your body and mind causing many of the problems we have in the world today than smoke an herb that you cant overdose on. the worst side effect of herb is the munchies and sleepiness. where do i start with alcohol?

No you can also get a heavy psychosis from herb, and severe nausea.

I believe that the restrictions on weed, in the UK at least, were born from the desire of the British Generals in the First World War to ensure their 'men' were always up for a fight. I may be wrong about this, but it's a story that was oft told in the legalise it discussions of my youth.
In some people, weed stirs too much thought and that might stop you doing your 'duty' and killing the 'enemy'. Alcohol, on the other hand, will probably have the reverse effect.
Having said that, the word Hashish is supposed to come from assassin. Arabs would take hashish before going to kill because it helped fire them up. All a bit contradictory I must admit. But I do understand. In the short term, ie: right after a smoke, I feel VERY fired up. This subsides as the sleepy bit takes over, but initially at least, I'm get very excitable!

I'd argue herb isn't completely safe. I've certainly noticed medical effects. But alcohol is far worse, it's very hard on the body, especially spirits like whiskey etc.

A lot of the so-called medical effects of herb, found in studies, must be discounted. Why? Because most of these studies are based on looking at people who smoke and assessing their health. But this is not scientific as an awful lot of herb smokers (in Europe at least) roll their herb with tobacco.
If I smoke herb and tobacco I throw up more or less immediately. If I smoke herb alone, I don't get sick.
So to accurately asses the effects of herb smoking these studies need to look at people who have smoked herb, but never tobacco.

alcohol can equal either
angst, depression, or false happiness. the happy buzz isn't so bad, but the shit you feel the next day should be enough to let you know that you consumed poison. i don't see many people high on herb getting aggro on others and perhaps starting fights. some people, however do get in a groove of depression and smoke to stay uplifted, but i think that is more of an issue inside and not due to the herb.
herb, on the other hand...well, you probably know.

I think that in a long term they are both equally bad but if you dont smoke that much, it isnt dangerous at all. I think that either herb should be legalized or alcohol should be criminalized.greg wrote:haha, nice one jah glu, still, does that even come close to the side effects of alcohol?
