I have, with their permission, burned their CD's and sent them to many reggae stations in the US, London (Consciousradio.net) and IRIE FM. They did play their CD's...GIOPS got more response.
GIOPS has "the whole package" while LION TEMPO/NEGRIL has no band and has done zero live performances, yet he feel recording @ Black Scorpio or Tuff Gong gonna make him an "overnight STAR"....He did record @ Studio Mix in Waterhouse, Kingston. My first instinct tell me, he needs a band before he goes that route. Stores don't sell CD's of artists that have never done a stage show in my experience.
Any advice/input/direction is welcomed. Just trying to help some friends that have shown conscious, original reggae vibes~
