Vote for your favorites 2005 reissues


Focusing on the January 2005 - November 2005 reissues, the Roots Awards will be a public vote amongst our visitors.

The vote would start early November 2005 till December 31st 2005.

There will be 4 different awards :

- Best Album Reissue (CD and/or LP)

- Best Various Artist Compilation

- Best Reissues Record Company

- Best Album cover

Our visitors will be asked to choose 3 albums amongst the 2005 reissues in Roots Archives (73 releases for now including all categories), without a particular order.

The winning album of each category will be the album gathering the most votes, in a complete transparency.

No album will be added after October 31th 2005 in the nominations list, every 2005 release listed that day will be added to the nomination list for best album or best various artist compilation.

We hope everyone will participate, we are currently looking for a sponsor who would give a nice price for one of the voters.

If anyone would like to submit a drawing or a picture representing the award itself (and for each roots awards category) please contact me via the PM messages available in this board or via our contact page.

To help you to choose the albums you'll vote for, we'll add a "2005 releases" section very soon on the website (before next Tuesday).

If you have any other idea, please let us now ...

WHAT ARE THESE AWARDS APPEAR ON TV, MAGAZINE, ONLINE OR WHAT OR HOW CAN WE WATCH IT OR FIND OUT WHO WERE THE WINNERS

The awards will only be available online on Roots Archives. We wanted to have a TV ceremony, but we'll have to wait for next year

As Seb stated above, the votes will begin on November 1st and and will stop on december 31st. The winners will be announced online, on January 1st.

Of course, the awards will have their own section on Roots Archives, with all this year's nominees and a form for the votes.
