Tune ID Please

Post by king g »

Can someone tell me the name of Artist and Track. It is voiced on the Sleng Teng Riddim and the first line goes something like; 'This is the sound of the old time proverb'...?

Guidance, Bless

Hi

Actually it is Pumking Belly by Tenor Saw but i am not sure if it is the first one or the second one since he did Pumking Belly (2) produced by Peter "Chemist" Thompson & Sugar Minott

Pumking Belly appeared on Tenor Saw's Fever album, indeed produced by Sugar Minott & Peter Chemist.
The used riddimtrack is or is almost the same as the Jammy's one (in reggae it is/was common to use 100% same riddims by different producers - u can see it for example as a kind of payment to each other).

Finetuned indeed: 1 Jammy production and 1 Sugar/Chemist production for this great song.

I just learned from a friend that there was a third version of pumking belly by Tenor Saw on the Jah Children Invasion album produced by Sugar Minott
