greetings idren, surely some i man on RA know what it means for the artist to hold their hands into a position with the forefinger pointed down, tips touching, thumbs touching at the tips, pointed up....like dis

that picture is actually hail selassie's hands. haile selassie would always and pretty much would gesture his hands in this way to symbolize the seal of solomon (star of david) to siginify that he was in direct lineage of king david through solomon and the queen of sheba in union, whom they bore a son named menelik (son of the wise man). you see all rasta holding up this symbol with their hands to emulate the way of abbabjoni. but most of all rasta do this to represent that they are the israelites.

the holy trinity, the power of the trinity (haile selassie) is all one. the hand sign also means the trinity, because of the 3 points of the triangle. haile selassie who was a devout ethiopian orthodox christian. the ethiopian church is the is oldest of all Christianities. the ethiopian orthodox church is unlike other orthodox religions, because in order to be an ethiopian orthodox church you must have a replica of the ark of the covenant, also known as the tabot. the ark of the covenant is one of the main structures of the ethiopan orthodox church. also ethiopian orthodox and all orthodox religion do have one thing in common, is there structure is closest to the catholic church than any other religion. though they have went seperate ways long ago, because of belief in the one single unified Nature of Christ; i.e., a belief that a complete, natural union of the Divine and Human Natures into One is self-evident in order to accomplish the divine salvation of humankind, as opposed to the "two Natures of Christ" belief (unmixed, but unseparated Divine and Human Natures, called the Hypostatic Union) promoted by today's Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches.
